There are two main ways to check the status of a deposit transaction on the Poloniex (P.net) exchange: through the transaction history within the Poloniex platform, and by checking the on-chain status via a blockchain explorer.
Checking Deposit Status on the Poloniex Platform
- Web Version:
- Log in to your Poloniex account.
- Click the “Activity” or “Balances” menu at the top of the page, then select “Deposit” or “History.”
- In the “Deposit History” section, you’ll see a list of all deposit transactions, including the number of on-chain confirmations required for each deposit and its current status. Your account balance will be updated once the deposit is complete.
- Mobile instructions:
- Open the Poloniex app and log in.
- Select “Wallet” from the bottom navigation bar, then tap the icon in the top-right corner and select “Deposit.”
- Select the deposit transaction you want to view to see the number of on-chain confirmations required to complete that deposit and its status.

Check the on-chain status via a blockchain explorer
If you want more detailed information about the transaction’s progress on the blockchain, you can use the transaction ID (TxID) to look it up on the corresponding blockchain explorer.
- To obtain the TxID:
In Poloniex’s deposit history, locate the deposit transaction you want to check; a TxID (transaction ID) is usually displayed.
- Check using a blockchain explorer:
- Open the blockchain explorer for the relevant cryptocurrency (for example, for Ethereum, visit etherscan.io).
- Copy and paste the TxID into the search bar to look it up.
- Review the transaction details, paying particular attention to the “block confirmations” field. If the number of confirmations is below the minimum required for that cryptocurrency (for example, Ethereums typically require 12 confirmations), the transaction is still pending confirmation; please wait patiently. If the number of confirmations has reached or exceeded the requirement, the transaction has been completed on-chain.
Common Reasons for Delayed Deposits and How to Handle Them
Generally, the time it takes for a cryptocurrency deposit to be credited depends on network congestion and the number of confirmations required by the cryptocurrency; it usually does not exceed 4 hours. If the deposit has not been credited after a long period (we recommend waiting 12 hours), possible reasons include:

- Network congestion: Congestion on the blockchain network may cause transaction confirmations to be delayed.
- Insufficient Confirmations: Certain cryptocurrencies (such as BCN) may require more block confirmations to be credited (for example, BCN requires at least 750 confirmations).
- Incorrect Deposit Address: Sending funds to an incompatible address (e.g., sending BTC to an ETH address) may result in the loss of funds, which are usually unrecoverable.
- Missing Memo/Tag: For certain cryptocurrencies that require a Memo or Tag, failure to include one or entering an incorrect one during a deposit may result in delays or loss of funds.
- Deposits to Contract Addresses: Poloniex does not support deposits to contract addresses or via smart contracts; such transactions may be unrecoverable.
If your deposit has not been credited for an extended period and you have confirmed that the on-chain transaction was completed, we recommend contacting Poloniex customer support via the following methods:
- Live Chat: Log in to your Poloniex account, click the headphone icon in the bottom-right corner of the page, and select “Contact Support” to chat with a support representative in real time.
- Email Support: Send an email to [email protected] using the email address associated with your Poloniex account.
- Submit a Support Ticket: Submit a support ticket in the Poloniex Help Center, providing a detailed description of your issue along with necessary information such as the transaction ID.
