Vitalik: I suggest that Chinese developers leverage their hardware strengths and open-source AI to explore new cross-disciplinary initiatives.
Svmuu News: The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the ETH HK Hub (Hong Kong Ethereum Community Center), supported by the Ethereum Foundation, was held today in West Kowloon, Hong Kong. Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, and Aya Miyaguchi, Chair of the Ethereum Foundation, attended the event and participated in a fireside chat with Hong Kong Legislative Council member Yau Tat-kan. In his keynote speech, Vitalik suggested that Chinese-speaking builders return to the core principles of Ethereum, fully leverage hardware advantages, open-source AI talent, and ZK technology to explore new frontiers across various fields. Vitalik noted that the emergence of each new wave of technology presents an opportunity for a new generation of developers to stand on equal footing with global leaders. He emphasized that the Chinese-speaking community can maintain forward-thinking in an increasingly dynamic world and drive the development of the entire ecosystem through innovative solutions. The launch of the ETH HK Hub underscores the importance the Ethereum Foundation and the Ethereum ecosystem place on the Asia-Pacific community, and also highlights Hong Kong’s pivotal role in the global Ethereum landscape.
